I switch between listening to audiobooks and reading the same book if I can get both.
I think it’s great. If I’m working or doing chores, I can listen as I go, and when I’m in bed or relaxing, I can read.

I can listen while doing chores or at work. But listening to it in a public place, where sounds can overwhelm what I’m listening to, I find it much harder. Not sure if that’s a sign I need a hearing test or not, but apparently background noises making it difficult to hear is a sign that I do 😆
I don’t think about it. Some people just aren’t readers and that’s okay.
Depends on the country. Some countries support authors more than just buying the book. U.K for example, authors have public lending rights and get paid each time their book is checked out as well as purchase of the book. Not as much as royalties but they get something.
I think that’s something all libraries should do.
I write a book summary after I read a book, because I find I struggle to remember exactly what happens in some books.
