I’ll throw out anything like “The Secret” or similar “visualize your joy” type books.
Yeah, any of those “I can make it happen by thinking about it/believing it/behaving as if it’s true or has already happened” etc are such a bunch of laughable bunk. Try to have a positive attitude and strive to be better. That’s legit. Imagining things into reality only works for the writers of those books. They imagine big folks will believe what they themselves know is bunk because it’s more digestible than reality.
The corollary to their attitude is you deserve the bad in your life.
I guess I never thought this far because of how dismissive I am off the whole genre, but geez, they are implying that if you don’t have all the things you want in life, at the very least you’re failing to successfully envision them into reality and attract them.
