I wonder if you might like it in audiobook format. The audiobook is a full-cast production, and so many of the characters are really delightful with the voice actors’ performances’ breath of life in them.

My answer as well. I hate his guts, not just because he’s a dickhead, but because he is the exact same jealous, selfish, emotionally abusive dickhead at the end of the series that he was when he first appeared. He does not grow at all. Hate, hate, hate him.

I think it’s fine. If a book stands the test of time without alterations, fantastic. If it doesn’t, well, many oral stories evolve or die out so I don’t see why some written stories can’t do the same.

Content aside, that guy sold 100k copies out of the trunk of his car before he found a traditional publisher for it. I’ve got to respect that hustle.
