I agree, the books were very slowly paced and I preferred the movies. I would have liked to have seen more of the Ents and the Hobbits defeating Wormtongue in the movie.

Wolf Signs by Vivian Arend. It was pure porn and just awful.

The Sword of Shannara by Terry Brooks was so boring and hard to get through.

This one will probably get me some hate but The Way of Kings by Brandon Sanderson. I got maybe a chapter in and just couldn’t keep going. I don’t want to waste money on any of his other works in case I don’t like them too much

The Last Thing To Burn by Will Dean. It’s about a young woman and her sister from Vietnam who moved to the UK due to the influence of a recruiter who told her they would have good employment opportunities and a good life in the UK but ended up being sold into sex slavery. It’s absolutely harrowing and I cried so much reading it.
