Anyone that makes fun of someone trying to learn a foreign language is probably just a jealous hater or mean. I agree OP! I wanted to be a Spanish teacher. Clayton is doing excellent and Ashley is really able to communicate as well. Props to them!
I don’t find Ashley boring so I’m enjoying it a lot. I lived in South America for several years so the communication thing is really interesting to me. He’s kinda a snooze fest but Ashley is fun to watch. It’s a dynamic that can be typical with gringas and a foreigner.
I give both of them credit for learning their partners’ languages. Both seem really kind regardless of their existing situations like “closet mom…” I liked how he brought her horse back riding and whiskey tasting and at least invited her to do fun things when she arrived.
