Beatrice probably was stocking up on the pills when her Alzheimer’s started to get bad before she was in care, I think from the comments her parents make in her backstory ep this extreme diet almost eating disorder like behavior was instilled in her from a very young age and diet pills, remedies etc would’ve been deeply engrained in her mind, which is very sad if you think about it. Especially the line “no one likes a fatty patty” when bojack confronts her, it’s normal and natural to her. Sad all round.
