That book made me cry. I’m still holding a grudge.

Jonathan Cecil did an amazing job!

I think she hits just the right note of sarcasm, where it’s still sweet and charming.
I will exactly rate the book by how easy it was to follow the narrative thread, or how interesting it was (or what kind of tone the author took or what their sources were or how much editorializing they did).
Part of the skill of writing a biography, or a memoir is making it easy to follow and interesting. If you look at professional book reviews for nonfiction books, that’s the kind of stuff they talk about.
Philosophy and political / moral positions mattered to the March family, a LOT. They’re members of a specific group / school of thought that was kindof radical at that time. It runs through the entire book, and is a huge part of their characterization. Even at the end, when Jo wants to open a free school, that’s a radical political stance.
Taking the politics out of ‘Little Women’ just makes it a story about girls finding husbands.
Look up the coping skills and techniques they teach to ADHD kids. Even if you haven’t been diagnosed, it sounds like those might help you.
Are you still in school? (There are resources IRL to help, if you are in school. That’s why I’m asking.)
I like PG Wodehouse, for this. They’re light and cheerful and funny.
