The Divine Comedy might take you well into the next year unless you have a special knack for it. Whose translation were you able to get?

The first copy I was able to read was Allen Mandelbaum’s which struck me as beautifully written, if a little too dense for me. I remember liking John Ciardi’s (older?) translation more because it seemed simpler.

Lol, that would probably take me out of immersion, especially if repeatedly.

Now I’m curious. How did the narrator pronounce it anyway?
