I don’t know why this 2011 book gained popularity again on TikTok. Nonsensical metaphors, run-on sentences, and paper-thin plot. The author couldn’t even be bothered to spell out numbers below ten.

This book won the Goodreads Choice Award under the Romance category so I checked it out. I ended the book pissed at the predictable plot and the creepy male lead who doesn’t seem to know the meaning of consent. It was my first read of 2021 too so I was extra bitter.
