If you’re going to make that comparison… I’m guessing your job also allows you to quit and get a new job when it isn’t working out without angry mobs of fans shitting on you.

I’m as disappointed as the next person about this but clearly there’s a reason he set Doors of Stone aside.

I somewhat agree that it is tricky without the written book in hand, but I have found the audiobooks indispensable in getting through the series. Often I’ll use the audiobook to help me focus as I read if I’m trying to read when I’m tired or having trouble focusing. I find some of the storylines much easier to follow than others so I’ll often switch to just audio and go about my chores and stuff. Without them, I’d have to take a lot more breaks while reading and forget things!

Not a movie but Dexter. The show was not perfect but my god those books were awful.
