There’s actually a subreddit called that where people pick bad reviews of books and roast the reviewer, it’s really entertaining.

I couldn’t get past the first chapter. I wanted a high fantasy book, but right off the bat, the main character has mommy issues and deep seated sibling rivalry. Pass!

Also watched an author talk moderated by Yarros where she was interviewing a different author who was promoting a book. Yarros constantly derailed the conversation, picked really boring questions, and sometimes picked questions that had already been answered in some way before. Like if you want to drink wine, promote your own work, and gab with your author bestie, do that off camera.

Most books I read in school I disliked on principle. I’ve always loved reading, I hate being told what to read and how to digest the reading. However, there were some that I really enjoyed, it all depended on the teacher.
