I saw this author at his stand at a Barnes and Nobles not really getting any interaction. I wanted to support a local author so I went ahead and bought it.

It reads like a middle schooler just beginning to write on Wattpad. It reads like what incels think intelligent, financially secure men do. It was just awful. Support your local authors folks but not this one lol

I need a book rec with a sallow man, tired af eyes, infinitely tired towards the MC with a crooked nose that’s been smashed in from all the times he’s smarted off. Questionably attractive but only attractive because the man is just tired with existing and the MC is his annoying reasoning for continuing to.

But not like a Grumpy x Sunshine that Tik Tok recommends because their Grumpy is just a straight asshole, not the perpetually tired love interest I’m looking for.

I would also chime in and offer up the Air Awakens series by Elise Kova. I felt like it was very Romantasy but without the criticisms that we’re seeing on Fourth Wing here - info dumping, telling instead of showing, etc.
