I wonder if Amazon is only to greenlight x amount of seasons and the creators just have to constrain to the ~50? episodes they will be given. I’m not a comic reader, but this show is moving at a very rapid pace. I mean, for one, Nolan has been effectively gone for like ~3 episodes, which isn’t a lot if you consider Nolan has a completely new life. Plus, look at the rest of this season, we have Mark’s new brother, Lizard League, Flaxans, Mars Invasion, and Levy along with juggling all the current characters (Rex, Eve, Amber, Debbie, Donald, etc. in their characterization). Plus, we got to setup Invincible War. That’s a lot for ~4 hours left in the season and maybe they won’t tackle everything, but why squeeze this all in. Maybe they feel episodes not focused on Mark won’t bring in the views, but I would’ve much preferred if the Eve, Amber, Donald plots were saved for Episode 5 (Debbie could stay because she provides good contrast to Mark/Nolan). It’s a good show still, but I want things to slow down and feel weight, like how Season 1 slowly built to the final fight.
