I think Mark is just way stronger than he even realizes. He was super awkward when he was fighting the maulers. Talking and trying really hard to act like a “superhero” when in reality his true potential being the son of one of the strongest vultrumites is that of a total killer. The leader of the viltrunites is confident enough in mark that he expects him to conquer literally everyone on earth.
