Narnia, all the religious innuendo kinda went over my head, but there were a lot of impactful vignettes about responsibility and accountability and dealing with problems head on and honesty and people being dynamic/multifaceted etc… And I dunno, (spoilers) all the children die, so I guess it also broached the subject of mortality? Regardless of innocence, everybody dies? As a kid, most books/movies avoided this sort of thing, so it was quite interesting to stumble into it and realize what happened.
