I will sheepishly admit that it was The Mission Earth series by L. Ron Hubbard. Note that I bought all them second hand, but still… It was ok overall I guess, took a few years to get through all of them as I wouldn’t read one right after the other.

The Alchemist was a Solid OK.
I read that one earlier this year, and yeah I did find it very much applicable to today’s concerns about computers and alogorithms taking over peoples jobs and hence their identity in society.

I probably should but I never do. I’m either busy with other stuff or just too lazy… probably a combination of the two. But at least I found time to read the book in the first place!
I’m mostly a library guy, check them out then return them. I don’t even have many of my favorites on my bookshelf, let alone something I didn’t like.
