Authors like the Bronte’s, Dickens, Woolf, the style doesn’t translate well today to what’s expected out of new authors. They told stories, with beautiful language. And not always jam packed with excitement to keep the reader going. When reading those books, for me, it’s more about falling in love with the style. The language. Loving art for art.
