1 year agoMy theory is Immortal wasn’t actually Abe Lincoln. They somehow found out there was going to be an assassination attempt at the theater, and Immortal just went as his double for that night. The real Lincoln went into hiding and did some work in the shadows, I guess.
As a really big fan of Sinclair’s character I never liked how his “redemption” was written or, rather, wasn’t written.
I’d love for him to have character development that we actually see, rather than Cecil just informing us that he’s all better now. I’d love to see him to come to terms with what he did, grapple with the consequences of it, and realize that he can never truly atone for it - but he CAN make the best of his current situation. I do think he’d arrive at a similar conclusion, that it’s not practical to dwell on the past with where he is now, so he was “right” in some sense. He doesn’t need to be a good person as long as he’s DOING good. It still haunts him, though.
However I firmly believe the bit about being engaged/expecting a child is a lie Cecil made up to garner sympathy from Mark because Sinclair would not do that in a million years. That’s a random co-worker and they’re both just going along with it.
