I think it is okay if they don’t have a permanent, but they do need to make sure the guest hosts are engaging enough. I’m not sure that comedians are always the best judge of who else is funny to the masses.

I’m okay with her guest hosting, but if they take her away from Shrinking, I’m going to have to start doing some breathing exercises.

Hasan is good but not on my list. Roy, Jordan, Desi… not necessarily in that order. Jordan and Desi together would be the absolute winning answer for me.

I liked Kosta’s set but it’s a bit hard to compare given how the strike changed the pool of guests available.

I tend to think a lot of this may be the same thing that happened with Brian Williams. The story gets embellished slowly over time, to the point where his own grasp on what the reality was slips away, until he’s knocked out of it with a little bit of challenge to the story line. The commercial attractiveness of stretching for story prob didn’t help.

In the end the reason this is messed up is because comedians can stretch the story to keep it interesting but you can’t mess with the facts and get an emotional payoff out of it.
