Like I get it you got to do some modernizing. But the way he went back to Cecil kind of humiliating.
I read the comic during when the show is on to see how they are going twist events, but it kinda throws me off because they play the angle of poor mark too hard at times.
Hmm idk I wouldn’t say any of that is modernizing as much as it is just developing it for a new medium. I’m only halfway through the entire series but so far the comic features Mark sulking a lot. He struggles with a lot of the experiences he goes through and that’s what makes him a really interesting character to me. Its slightly different from how it plays out in the books but I wouldn’t call it “humiliating”. He knows he’s struggling and he thinks having Cecil to guide him will help him get back on track. If dude isn’t allowed to lose fights or have emotional struggles then he wouldn’t be that compelling of a character imo.
