Be a dick to mark and make sure he knows you don’t trust him. Like wtf immortal maybe you could’ve offered to train with him or given him some pointers or literally any other path than the one you chose.

Immortal just experienced one of his colleagues whom he knew for a decade and saw almost die to protect people many times just murder him his friends and thousands of people in an effort to take over the planet, it would be incredibly stupid of him NOT to have any suspicions. Mark’s potential is also precisely WHY he has to be extra cautious because if he’s allowed to get more powerful nobody can stop him from finishing his dads mission.
