This situation lends credence to my developing theory that mediocre men are assholes to women they find attractive in a bizarre attempt to counteract her pretty/the insecurities the man is harboring. It doesn’t matter if she’s nice and respectful and not stuck-up. All that matters is that she knows he would never simp.

It’s super gross and undeniably misogynistic.
