Like the show and episode overall but I do have criticisms.

    • I really think the Amber thing from season 1 was the result of very bad writing in an otherwise very well written season 1 just based on the way she’s acting now.
    • This show - and I presume this stems from the books, has some really odd sexual relationships. The Immortal-Kate pairing is…yeah
    • Robot being a 30 year old man who cloned himself into a 12 year old boy’s body to get with a 20-something woman that has been de-aged into a 12 year old girl is something I’d expect from the depths of a 4chan fan fiction messageboard.
    • The show has an odd mix of being super jokey and light hearted with being as serious as fuck. One on hand we are introduced to the Lizard League which seems like a D-tier supervillain group played off for comic relief and Doc Seismic who I cannot take seriously at all and then they have serious villains like Omni-Man and Angstrom Levy. It’s kind of jarring going from the Guardians of the Globe to the Lizard League to then Debbie crying over trauma from Omniman.

I’m pretty sure the Immortal and Dupli-Kate thing is gonna be shown to be bad in the long run. Just cause the characters are doing something doesn’t mean the show is advocating for it. Same for the Robot and Monster Girl stuff. The point is that it’s messed to hell up and we’ll likely see how it plays out over this season or the next at least.

But in any case with your other point, all superhero media is like that. One second you have a raccoon trying to buy an arm from a war veteran, next half the universe is genocided.
