I honestly want Rex to get a W this season. It’s like he’s the butt of every joke.

Maybe I’m biased because I read the comics so I know what happens, but how can people be so impatient? It’s the second episode my guys, give it some time to setup the plot.

Atom eve powers are insane. She can just kinda materialise food the eat it? Create things from nothing? Forge steel mid air? Construct a fully functioning water fountain in seconds? Vitramites have nothing on that.

I SCREAM. I SCUM. I SCRAM. I’m going to ramble again.

    Tl;Dr: It was okay.

LOLOL WE GOT GENDERBENT CECIL AND DONALD THATS HILARIOUS. How does Donald not know he freaking DIED? I know why he’s back alive (begged for spoilers) but I thought he was like- aware of it. Also is genderbent Cecil voiced by Wendie Malick? She sounded just like Bojack’s mom.

AMBER AND MARK ARE SO CUTE DUDE. I’m so depressed because I know they’re probably not endgame.

What else… OH THE ALIEN GUY. DUDE. Genuinely my favorite character. Rex is growing on me. He doesn’t feel as cringy. He also got what he deserved. Kate just exists to either help people cheat or do the cheating.

    Cecil is kinda… 🥴

ALSO MARK WITH… I forgot the guys name… Darkwing’s sidekick- sorry, assistant WAS OMG. Gonna go rewatch that a hundred times.

    DEBBIE. 😭 POOR DEBBIE.

Uuuuuh. Idk. My excitement cannot be overstated. Rewatching for the third time now.

Thank u for reading, see u next week.

It’s kind of impressive that in a show with Nolan, Eve’s dad is such an asshole he seems nearly as bad.

Omni-Man is a good dad but an awful genocidal person.

Eve’s dad is a shit dad but he’s not wrong in a lot of things

He’s more down to earth so it’s sadly just easier to relate to. Though I will say this season is really almost making me feel the worst for Debbie. There’s messy divorces but this is on another level

It does seem like they stepped Amber’s character back a bit from the first season and she’s seem much more likable so far this season

With that said, I’m not sure if that’s a smart move since >!We know he has to end up with Eve!<

I think this is something older generations struggle with quite a bit. It’s just the culture they were brought up in.

In addition, they are simple people who don’t understand Eve’s superpowers. Maybe he would be more open to accepting the help if Eve acquired the food/gold in the traditional way?

He’s def being stubborn but I have sympathy for him. Asking for help is just really hard for some people

Eves dad knew she wasn’t his but didn’t say anything so now it’s just built up resentment, n his real daughter is dead. He probably blames her

Eve’s struggle with her dad hits too close to home when you have a family member who won’t accept your help and lashes out at you for even attempting it.

Even though he makes a good point, he just can’t help putting it in the worst way imaginable. I get, that her powers are a shortcut that without deeper understanding of what she’s doing it can go wrong. I get careless misuse has dire consequences because of what she’s capable of. And I especially get not wanting to depend on her powers to get by, because that runs too close to exploiting her for financial gain.

But literally everything that comes out of his mouth is gets filtered through his chauvinism and inferiority complex.

      Shitty people rank goes

      1. Atlanteans for reneging on their peace offering and trying to kill mark

      2. Eve’s dad, who lets his pride get in the way of his family’s well being and verbally abuses his kid and wife

      3. Prospective homebuyer

So much setup this episode. Everything with Donald and Cecil and Debbie, the weird anti-viltrum frequency(?) that Cecil seems interested in, everything with the Martian and the hivemind alien guys and also for some reason lizard cosplayers? Mark bringing out some inner OmniMan against FraudWing was also pretty scary, not to mention Angstrom still lurking around dimensions doing something or other.

Seeing how much Cecil insisted to Debbie that Mark was calling the shots (clearly just not true), and whatever the hell Cecil is doing with Donald and the anti viltrum scream, all my trust that he was a good guy disappeared this episode, they’re definitely setting him up for a conflict with Mark later

Cecil is literally just doing what he was doing in Season 1. Looking into every possible weapon against Viltrumites. I’m sure he’ll have no qualms about using them against Mark if he needs to but I don’t think he’ll use them against Mark unless Mark ends up like Omni Man.

The thing about Cecil is that he’s a good guy in terms of what side he’s on, but he’s willing to be a bad guy in what he does to do it. If he were mistaken about what the “greater good” was, he would absolutely be a villain – so many villains do bad things in the name of the “greater good.” But Cecil tends to be right about the greater good, so he manages to stay a “good guy,” despite all that he does.

Right, he is absolutely doing the right thing, and has no qualms about the methods that it requires. Cecil isn’t corrupt or power-hungry, he’s protecting the planet. Mark is a major potential threat to humanity, Cecil needs the ability to kill him and the other Viltrumites.

I’m really not a very perceptive viewer. When Cecil took the audio from the fight and wanted it “Sent to R&D for a report” I remembering asking myself why he would want a report on that.

Now that you mention it, it’s obvious he saw a potential use in a frequency that makes Mark (and by extension: Viltrumites) incapacitated.
