I like how they had Darkwing and Aquarius’ death in the previously on because we got follow ups for them here.

I’m glad we got to have Reginald Veljohnson deliver the graduation ceremony speech. Will he follow Mark to college? Well, at least he got to do the title drop.

    I missed show!William.

The ongoing saga of Doc Seismic! Now he’s got his Magma goons. I guess we won’t see him again until the Invincible vs Cecil arc.

Nice introduction to Shapesmith. It’s kind of fun hearing Ben Schwartz not play a really snarky and cocky guy, instead someone sincere but also goofy because he’s secretly an alien.

I was honestly expecting them to pan to Eve being bummed at Mark and Amber kissing at the graduation. Honestly wonder how they’re going to handle the relationship transition, especially when Eve beat up over Mark. I wonder if it will tie-in to her new storyline over what to do with her powers? And things are going swimmingly with Amber so far.

Speaking of, I’m curious where they’re going with Eve now. Obviously she’s learning there’s only so much she can fix with her powers and she might need to set herself limits, though how this will develop into later stage Eve should be interesting. I guess this will make her take a step back.

I was wondering if they’d build up Immortal and Kate, but no immediate shower fivesome. I almost feel bad for Rex.

I had a feeling they’d use some post-Omni Man stories this season to finally give Mark some wins.

I didn’t expect them to turn what happened to Donald into a sub-plot. Or that he didn’t know he died.

Like the set up of Debbie vs Cecil and them arguing over what’s best for Mark. Debbie is Mark’s mom and Mark is looking to Cecil for direction and a moral compass, but while it seems like Cecil means well there’s a part of him that is using Mark.

Giving the Guardians one win against the Lizard League (and setting up how everyone sees them as a joke) before we get the slaughter later in the season courtesy of King Lizard. Supreme Lizard was totally Serpentor with a mustache.

The irony that Mark’s future father-in-law also worked at Burger Mart.

I was wondering if they would do the Atlantis story. Interesting twist, though I kind of miss Mark playing secret wingman to hook that dude up with the queen.

    Poor Debbie. Just…poor Debbie.

Nice buildup with Angstrom visiting worlds where they actually beat Mark to find out ways to kill him. Didn’t expect female Cecil and Donald. Also Donald’s hair. They can’t keep giving us these gender-flips and not give us at least one female Mark, right?

I’m honestly sad the fish wingman subplot didn’t make it in but I’m mainly just a little eh at the clear jab to comic readers expectations. It felt a little too on the nose.

Seems like it’s leading to the same way they broke up in the comics. Amber in college won’t be able to spend any of it with her boyfriend, and as they both start maturing they realize she’s not cut out for that life.
