I have two. The Ritual and Drowning.

The Ritual is pure smut. 61 chapters and every one contains a graphic, demeaning sex scene. I’m convinced the author was an adult film screenwriter and decided to try their hand at writing a novel. There isn’t a single likable character in this book.

Drowning isn’t a great work of literature. I felt that the characters were very two-dimensional. I hated how naive the author made the protagonist. It made me have a lack of sympathy for her. The ending was series finale of Dexter bad.

I am trying the audiobook now because I have heard so many good things but man is it bad so far. Hoping if I can at least get a copy to read the MC sounds a little less like a 12 year old

I feel so seen. 😭 My coworkers adore this book and I couldn’t get through the first 3ish chapters. The writing is mediocre at best, the main character has the charisma of a wooden plank, and the plot (as far as I read) was so ham-fisted. “No daughter of mine is going to be a nerd!!” immediately places said daughter into perilous situation

“Our army is running low on reinforcements” allows recruits to kill each other at will

        YES THANK YOU

I enjoyed fourth wing cause it was almost like Divergent camp lol but I cannot get over how they let everyone die while they’re supposedly preparing for war. If you try out for the green berets and don’t make it you don’t DIE you just move to the next thing.

Oh no! My brother’s gf just told me it’s her favorite book of all time and that I have to borrow it and read it and the sequel she just got when she’s done so we can talk about it.

Should have known. She LOVED It Ends With Us.

The first three chapters were just pain. Really immature writing style, felt very rushed. I can’t say those get much better throughout the book, but it does even out once it’s clear that the plot’s decent.

I’ll read the second one when I can. It’s definitely a low-braincell read but I’m invested now.

Ok I feel safe in this comment section 😂 I am a couple chapters into the 2nd one and these books are just OK 🥲 I don’t get the hype

They romance reads like high schoolers I hate it. The book would be way more interesting if they cut that all out and made it a dragon war book 😩

Holy shit it was so awful, why is there so much hype about it??

That weird moment when she went, I need to get to know the bad boy love interest in a meaningful way, and then proceeded to ask him what his favourite colour was completely out of left field like….what?

None of that book made any sense, it was like Rebecca Yarros just let a cat wander around on her laptop keyboard and submitted that to the (nonexistent) editor.
