Seems like the reboot is such a cop out way to fast forward toward the ending

They think hes slipping or has lost his edge since hes abandoned his post and laid with inferior beings. Also their culture is based around constantly proving your strength so I guess it makes sense that they would want a 1v1 to prove that they can beat Nolan solo.
Thats a good question that will be answered in time in the show btw. Hopefully thats not considered a spoiler.
Probably next Season tbh. Also they haven’t done enough to establish the Eve relationship yet tho
With how much more damage Omni Man did in the show, it makes total sense the direction they took the reunion here. Its a fun twist to have Mark just break down and cry about Nolan leaving, but realistically it should just have him so enraged and conflicted and they pulled it off here. And by the end Mark saw how his father had really changed.
I knew that Mark stood no chance to a full grown Viltrumite, but I was cheering for him to just get some good shots in at the very least lol. Didnt even need to kill them, just get a good two piece in there and Im satisfied. And i wasnt let fown because he went off for a second there! I cant fucking wait to see how he gets better with time
Robots heel turn was really well done, though I felt like his eventual defeat was too anticlimactic.
Didnt even know ppl were shitting on the Performance tbh. I thought he was great. I think of Allen as having a friendly demeanor, like an alien best friend, and Seth fits that role well tbh
If they do end up adapting it they really gotta put a better spotlight on the whole storyline more than they did in the comic.
Bro has like two conversations about it, has a kid he talks to twice, and her entire arc is off screen (though she didnt deserve a redemption arc imo).
The whole storyline becomes secondary to everything else and that sucks to me
Everytime I think about this scene, it makes her weird redemption even weirder. Especially how we basically skip over the whole thing.
Like all these other badass viltrumites seem to acclimate to Earth life immediately and she decides to rape Mark because she couldnt just give Earth a proper shot.
And then implying that shes gonna do it again and again until she gets impregnated is so fucked to me. And then she teases him about it in front of everyone!
Like she obviously cant be redeemed but why even put that in there in the end
“Cant wait for this scene to be adapted…”
And its the same five scenes they always bring up
Honestly I hope they skip this. I cant imagine how bad the discourse will be when its adapted and I dont really like how its addressed in the story after that point. Aside from like 2 scenes, it feels like an afterthought when it should be a really big hurdle for Mark to overcome and deal with.
Its a shitty thing to say but also we know the context so it seems worse than what his perspective would be.
People say that she shouldnt have admitted to being Omni Mans wife but honestly she was just overcome with grief and guilt after hearing him reveal who he was.
The best option was to reveal herself at that moment because if she held anything back she would be more guilty pretending she isnt directly connected to his own tragedy. And it would be a secret that he would feel even more angry about.
He shouldnt have revealed who he was and they couldve saved themselves the trouble.
I thought the actual ending to this story was so well done and great. Like the last issue is legit my favorite in the series.
I wasnt too keen on how we got to the ending, as i felt things were kinda rushed and storylines werent allowed to breathe enough, but it all worked out in the end and Im thankful it has such a good conclusion.
Ngl i think this is my favorite issue of the entire run
Their characters will literally have like 5 or 6 combined scenes going forward throughout the entire series tbh. Theyre so unimportant it means nothing
Couldnt get through the first few chapters
My eyes rolled into my skull reading that line lmfao
The way people lost their shit over Amber last season makes me fear for any time that a female character does anything slightly controversial
