In S6E06 when Jorge comes to Todd and tells him his mum is in a coma, Todd anaesthetises him and takes him to Guy and Diane in Chicago. When Jorge asks how they got him on the plane, Todd says “We did a weekend in the Bernie’s” Not American so I’ve never understood that reference. I’m assuming he asked because he was cold and it would be almost impossible to carry a sleeping adult man on a plane. But then In the thought cloud, he’s on a plane. So Americans, or people who know what it means…please explain to me
“Weekend at Bernie’s” is a black comedy in which two guys carry around the recently deceased corpse of their boss in order to convince people he is still alive for…reasons. The entire subterfuge is accomplished by putting dark glasses on the corpse. It is not a serious movie.
