I like him, but for me, it’s Stephen King, a lot of his stories he goes off on a twenty page non-relevant rant.

Though, the ones where he keeps that to a minimum, are great.

Then there’s Mr. Marketer James Patterson who markets out his name to other authors making it look like he wrote the book when it was obviously someone else.

    I can’t really say an author is overrated. Most I know rightly earned their fans,even JK Rowling thought many people hate her. They write good books that millions love and borderline worship. Stephen King wrote many great books, but in the recent years it’s clear he is running out of ideas. He’s recycling characters and plots. Doesn’t mean he’s overrated because when he was in his prime he set the bar with banger after banger and inspired many future authors to write their own books.
