To me even since Happily Ever After she’s been really really let down by Asuelu and his family are willing to have them live in poverty because of their own expectations.
Sure there are cultural expectations and things, but surely if you know your grandchildren would suffer because of the amount of money you’re asking for you’d either dial it back or not ask at all.
Sure Kalani teams up with her sister but I think it’s because she feels utterly unheard in her relationship. Can you blame her? Asuelu and her don’t have the same love language at all and they have a huge barrier in terms of language and culture.
Just my thoughts.
I’m going to come at this from a different angle. I’m actually like Kalani. I have since her first season. I think Asuelu is a piece of shit cheater. I was in a 24 year relationship with my sons father. We we 18, we got married because I was pregnancy just like Kalani did. The first few years were ok but after a while it really sucked. We had nothing in common, we just kind of existed in the same house. I wanted to cheat because my ex and I had virtually no sex life, I want turned off by him, I even had offers to sleep but me but I never cheated because I know it was wrong and I felt I needed to keep out family together for our kid. Well, my ex ended up cheating on me with someone at work. At the time it destroyed me but it turned out to be the best thing to ever happen to me. I ended up getting the life I always wanted. I met an amazing man with common interests? Who wants to makes me happy and I got to move to Europe which was a life long goal. Kalani. Can have all these things, she just have lad to let go of Asuelu. Inknownuu hi is hard it is. It sucks to break up your family but some it’s necessary.
