Pink will give away 2,000 banned books at her South Florida shows this week in partnership with the literary and free expression advocacy group PEN America.
I’m not a big fan of Pink, but I don’t dislike her either. She’s had a few songs that I think are pretty damn catchy and anytime I’ve seen her in interviews or the like she’s seemed pretty genuine. Dancy pop just isn’t the first thing I reach for when I want to listen to tunes. A few years back, though, I watched her Circus concert on tv because I was watching whatever was on before it.
Holy crap. She did high wire stuff on ropes and never missed a note. Doesn’t seem to be the type to use pre-recorded vox and if she uses pitch correction live, it’s very subtle; I couldn’t hear any of its tell-tale artifacts.
I just saw her two weeks ago at Madison Square Garden and she did like… aerial acrobatics, so it seems possible!
Thats her thing. She does them everywhere, even at grammy/award show performances.
…and she sings in tune while doing it all!
