This is a nice gesture, but totally ignores the reality of what it means for a book to be banned.

I just saw her two weeks ago at Madison Square Garden and she did like… aerial acrobatics, so it seems possible!

…and she sings in tune while doing it all!

I’m not a big fan of Pink, but I don’t dislike her either. She’s had a few songs that I think are pretty damn catchy and anytime I’ve seen her in interviews or the like she’s seemed pretty genuine. Dancy pop just isn’t the first thing I reach for when I want to listen to tunes. A few years back, though, I watched her Circus concert on tv because I was watching whatever was on before it.

Holy crap. She did high wire stuff on ropes and never missed a note. Doesn’t seem to be the type to use pre-recorded vox and if she uses pitch correction live, it’s very subtle; I couldn’t hear any of its tell-tale artifacts.

No, they will be injected via large metal needle spinal tap.

      YOU WILL LEARN.

But seriously, this is a very good thing, and although I was never a fan of Pink, she seems to be a good person. I applaud her philanthropy.

r/books has to be legitimately one of the stupidest subs ever. This constant salivation over banned books is so outrageously stupid. If you can buy it from a retail store it’s not fucking banned. And guess what, just because you think something isn’t appropriate for elementary schoolers doesn’t mean you’re some kind of 1600s puritan burning witches at the stake. I don’t see the utility in having children read books with titles like Dad Has Two Vaginas.

That’s dumb. Those “banned” books are “banned” for elementary schoolers. Just like Pink concerts.

Pink is as banned as those books. A 8 year would be turned away, rightly, at the door.

You literally have no idea what you’re talking about. The sheer asshattery is impressive. Unlike you, I was at a Pink concert for this tour. I saw easily a couple dozen kids under the age of ten in the crowd just on the side I was on. And they are taking books out of all levels of school libraries, not just elementary. Not one sentence you wrote was correct.

Banned from school libraries, and sometimes public libraries. But this isn’t really that novel, libraries are curated to a large degree, they don’t just carry everything.

How are they banned? Seems like it was readily available for her to hand them out and no one will try to stop it, so…
