I’m not condoning Daniele’s behaviour, but Yohan mentally checked out once he learned she wasn’t taking him to the US. He says the life in DR isn’t good and all he will be doing is paying rent, WTF does he think will happen when he goes to the US? It seems to me he just views Daniele as a meal ticket.
He wants to send remittances back home to DR. That’s what he mentioned in their first season about going to the US. It’s why his family was also excited for him to move to the US because anything he’d be able to send would make a difference for them.
She did lie to him & told him she was going to get his papers so he could move to the US. Didn’t tell him she wasn’t planning on doing any of that until she moved down. He’s said he wanted to work in the US & make a better life for himself. She’s wrong for lying to him about their plans
