I really liked Debbie 1.0 calling out that Josh guy that Natalie was seeing. She asked him some of the questions I wanted him to be asked. She’s definitely toxic with her codependency issues but I did appreciate her then. It was also refreshing to see her dating men her age versus chasing guys in their 20s and early 30s and feigning shock they were just using her.

In the example of Gino, don’t forget that he was paying $3K usd/month for Jasmine’s apartment. That’s comparable rent in many US locations. Same with Danielle and Yohan’s place in DR where they were paying ~$2600/month for housing.

I mean it kind of ruins people’s impressions of the other person. I had to tell my sister to stop telling me her romantic business unless there was something abusive going on. I get people want to vent but sometimes you say something and that’s permanently how people view them from there on out.

I wonder if they left, left or if her parents went abroad to send money back? It’s very common in the Philippines for people to travel to other countries and work to send money back. Unfortunately, many are also at risk of wage theft and having their passports taken away by their employers. Her grandfather says they left her in their care so I wonder if it’s a case of translation issues misrepresenting what he said.

Yeah people keep saying that he’s really jealous but we’ve not seen jealously from him yet. Her snack pack friends were kind of handed to him on a platter to blow up about “hanging out with guys” but he didn’t do that. He seemed more upset about the double standard and that he couldn’t maintain friendships with anyone versus who she was hanging out with.

Someone shared that he’d need to make at least $20k/year if he was just sponsoring her. Not sure how much he’d have to make to sponsor her and the baby.
