I was horrified by the cow urine disinfecting scene at TJ’s house…Then, I did some research and was surprised to find out cow urine has a lot of antiseptic properties. There are legit NIH studies on the topic. Apparently cow urine has been used for centuries to disinfect, and it has Ayurvedic healing properties. Not saying I’m going to use it, but…educated.
India’s life expectancy is 70y, below the world average of 72 (the world, which includes countries suffering from famine and higher poverty), and way below “the west”. Let’s not forget that they bath in Ganges which is one of the most polluted rivers on this planet, because they believe Ganges’ water is pure and purifies. People die like flies from diseases which are eradicated/ extremely rare in other countries and a big chunk of this is because of doing shit like this.
So now, cow urine doesn’t disinfect and burning poo poo won’t clean the house. They’re actually both risky for several zoonoses.
