    Part of me knows Mary is the problem, but Brandon’s mom has not always been a safe space. I mean-Brandon is so connected to Mary because of his attachment/trauma with his mom! Ugh.

      Both are true. She wasn’t always the mother he needed but that also doesn’t mean she’s beyond redemption. Unless we see otherwise she’s done/doing the work to get and stay clean.
