I’m wrong. I didn’t ever hear anyone mention that they were a Jainist family. I had heard of the sect but didn’t know anything about it. Thanks for making me learn something new.
Now I’m rethinking too. Did he tell her he was a Jainist at any point or was he happy to let her think he was a more standard Hindu? There’s a big difference between, say, Episcopalians and Pentecostals, though they both fall under the category of Christianity
Jains are not Hindu. They dated for years and are married, I’m assuming he told her what his religion was at some point.
