Seriously i am so sorry for disrespectful but i actually threw up in my mouth. i GET it, she is entering their culture. i have always had a rainbow if friends from all over. And even they that are married to Americans have some of their culture woven in to their lives in America. i hope they will allow her to keep SOME traditions that she is used to, to help make her feel more at home.
He’s trying to say he was waiting for his mom to tell her everything. I’m sure he probably told her that he couldn’t explain all her duties before marriage because she wasn’t even allowed to step foot in the kitchen :)
And he knew this was coming so he suddenly made the announcement that he was going to be doing something downstairs and that Yash would be in the kitchen instead of him??? Why??? He abandoned ship knowing that Kimberly would be upset. I was surprised that he did come back up for the poop rag debacle.

I also think it’s disingenuous to say it’s Kimberly’s fault for not googling what she was getting into by marrying into TJ’s family. I think it’s pretty reasonable by most people’s standards to assume that if you are marrying someone from a foreign culture that they love you enough to fill you in on what will be expected when you are married. After all, Google can give you a "general " idea of what married life is like in India, but T.J. could of (should of) given her the whole story.
I wonder if production will like, slip some of the cast members a couple extra bucks to intentionally cause chaos?

I watch with a Hindi-speaker, and they say that the subtitles are usually really off as well. Though I agree he softens it a lot and is selective in what he translates.

As an Indian person who grew up in India, I want you all to know that this cow poop and piss thing is not a thing that most people believe in. I’m going to go on the offense and just say that this is a sign of illiterate people behavior. Again I know it’s offensive to them but there’s no other way to explain this ass-backwards behavior.
