I have a long train ride coming up (16 hours) and I’d love to have an audio book to help me pass the time since I have an extra Audible credit to spend. I like most genres, but absolutely no horror or non-fiction. I’d love to have something fun and low stakes. The kind of book that doesn’t ruin your day because it got too heavy or sad. For example, some books that I easily finished because they were such a good time were Dial A for Aunties and All Systems Red. It can be adult or YA, in English or Spanish.
Don Quixote. Long, funny, interesting, you could get it in either/both languages (if you speak Spanish fluently/natively, then that’s a no brainer).
If you decide you want some mystery and a bit of magic I’ve recently got into Leigh Bardugo’s works. I really enjoyed the Ninth House series and the Six of Crows Duology. The Shadow and Bone Trilogy were also good.
Some old school “fun and low stakes” books might include Terry Pratchett’s Discworld series or Douglas Adams’ The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy.
Dennis Taylor’s The Bobverse Trilogy is a hoot if you enjoy science fiction.
I’ve also heard that the DUngeon Crawler Carl books, by Matt Dinniman are fun, but I’ve not listened to them yet myself.
Red Rising by Pierce Brown - though it can be a little heavy in a way… like some of the Murderbot Diaries can get a little heavy. Red Rising is dystopian fiction, in case that helps.
