So I tried reading pet sematary and couldn’t finish it, I read about 50%. Right now I’m listening to the audio book “Fairytale” and I’ll finish but is probably gonna take me a while. The build up to the actual plot is very loooong, but I guess that’s the purpose.
Normally I don’t mind “slow” books, right now I’m reading 1Q84 by haruki Murakami and I’m 80% through the whole trilogy. But what keeps me reading is the writing and some characters…
I really want to try a few more books by Stephen king, what are your favorites or most fast paced for me to get into it? Also I usually dont read much thrillers/mystery so that might be the problem.
You picked a couple of rough reads - he is my very favorite author and I love how his work has evolved over the decades. Some of my favorites are 11/23/63, The Institute and a book he wrote with his son Sleeping Beauties. Fairy Tales ends well but I found it a little slow in the middle.
Exactly, I’m also finding fairytale pretty slow…I tend to get bored easier with audio books so maybe I should try reading it instead. The institute’s summary really interested me, I’ll read it!
