Twilight is still better and readable lol😂
I think listening to it is even worse, because while reading a skimmed a lot of parts due to embarrassing/cringy moments
Exactly is just extremely cringy but not in a quirky way…just embarrassing
Exactly, I’m also finding fairytale pretty slow…I tend to get bored easier with audio books so maybe I should try reading it instead. The institute’s summary really interested me, I’ll read it!
Hahahahah exactly there’s hope for all of us on the comment section. Honestly I already tried writing and the idea is there, but the writing NO☠️
Thank you for sharing the same thoughts as me! I read a few books that the writing was just bad but somehow I enjoyed it, but I acknowledge that is not a GREAT book…the people on this comment section really should reread that book with other eyes.
I highly recommend “the poppy war” by rf kuang if u haven’t read it yet. The writing is beautiful and is starts of strong! Is very politics heavy and no romance, but the relationships between the characters makes up for it. Literally changed my life lol
Woah that’s actually so fast…apparently the quality is dropping by each sequel. I saw a lot of reviews of people that liked fourth wing but hated the second
Exactly! The way Rebecca wrote made it seem as if disabled people have to push themselves to the point of pain to be deemed useful. I liked the idea of a disabled character but the way the author did it…
Yes! If you want to read the book download it on a website for free. If you don’t know any I can send you
I like this genre but not this book…
When I said Sarah j Maas I actually meant the throne of glass series, I’m not a big fan of ACOTAR but it’s much better written (plot and characters) than Fourth wing. All the characters on fourth wing are very one dimensional, specially Xaden…that dude has no personality besides having trauma and being 7ft something.
I honestly not in a million years would have guessed without social media, that the descriptions the author did about Violet actually meant a disability. Is very common on fantasy books for the main character to be very short, petite and fragile…which I literally can’t handle this descriptions. Of course I don’t mind this characteristics but the author said at least a dozen times every chapter, if id know before hand that Violet has a disability I would read it with another eyes.
Plus, you can’t deny that the characters are so badly written, that girl has 0 personality… Where are the actual flaws!! There’s a book called the poppy war, and the main character is also described as being pretty weak and short (not with a disability), but that girl was full of personality plus flaws that made me love her throughout the series.
I felt the exact same way! I’m probably in the target age for it (17yrs) but still there are so many better fantasy books, with an “easy to read” + popular tropes, that is written much better both in plot and characters
Exactly! There are good YA and easy to read/not heavy in world building that are just good. I really like the shatter me series, although the plot is very messy the characters are so well written
Well I also have my guilty pleasure tv shows like “the penthouse”. Is a Korean show which is honestly even worse (in terms of plot) than riverdale gahahah. People keep coming back from dead for no reason and is extremely dramatic but I do love it
Honestly I don’t remember that chapter, ninja warrior?
Tower of dawn
HAHHAHAHAH yes. When I read my judgy self was on because of all the hype, so everything just annoyed me 10 times more.
