It may have started that way, but he committed to her, thinking he’d be going to the US. She knew that’s what he expected and didn’t tell him she had no plans to take him there. She intended to control him with finances, and then, when she had locked him down, she starts asking for half the expenses? There’s no way he’d make that at a Dominican wage.
