My pick would have to be the A Whole Nother Story trilogy, in which (spoiler warning) you can only travel back in time. But because time is in a loop of sorts, if you go before the beginning of time, you will be at the end of time. From there you can go back to any time you want to. And time paradoxes cannot be produced. Plus, your memories from the previous timeline exist as well as the memories from the new one.
The first fifteen lives of Harry August by Claire North
Loved the book
This is the one that started my love for the time travel / multiverse genre
Same, such a great read
That’s a good one. Favorite part was how they passed messages backwards and forwards in time.
“I nearly missed you, Doctor August.”
This is one of my comfort books that I read on a regular basis. I love it so much.
The book Replay by Ken Grimwood is pretty much the same travel setup. Also an excellent read.
Agree and I just reread it last week.
Love that book. Tried to recommend it to so many people and they just won’t read it.
I first read that book in the late 80s, and loved it. I have lived in Atlanta my whole life, so the setting resonated with me. I’d love to see a movie version of it.
Reading this now! It’s such a trip down memory lane, as it takes place, largely, in the 80’s.
Pretty sure I first heard of this novel from a similar post to this one a year or so ago. Came here just to make sure it was represented here as well so that others might hear about it.
I read that a few years ago. An absolutely incredible book- and I still find myself thinking about how much I enjoyed it even now. About how fascinating it was. The whole concept of that book is just amazing.
She is such an underrated author. Her Matthew Swift series (under the pseudonym Kate Griffin, her real name is Catherine Webb) is the greatest urban fantasy series i have ever read.
Excellent book. Really well done on Audible too.
Love the way this handles time travel.
