I’m looking to pop my Invincible cherry soon, starting with the first few arcs of the comic, then going to the show, then back to the comic for the rest.

I’m curious - how close is the show to the comic? Is it a fairly close adaptation? A loose one? Is it close to a point but then goes off in a different direction?

P.S. My deciding to get into the series is, funnily enough, less so motivated by a new season starting or Omni-Man coming to Mortal Kombat, but more so from my having binge re-read the entire Walking Dead comic series last month. I found that Robert Kirkman’s storytelling style was right up my street so now I want to read more of his work, starting with his other most prominent work.

    Pretty accurate.

There are some parts of the show that I like even better than the comics.

Funniest thing I found out is that Steven Yuen (the voice on Invincible) also was Glenn in the show adaptation of TWD.

It’s a somewhat loose adaptation, but only because Kirkman proposedly wants the changes as he’s grown a writer. It shows too, imo. I like the show more than the comic for the most part. The main plot is still pretty accurate
