Well I was just pondering when I thought how fast do people read books. I read the cradle series last month in under 13 days. Constantly binge reading it. I have alot of time so it didn’t seem a big deal. Then I remembered in 2019 when I first picked up WoT I followed many people who were reading for the first time or reading it and I discovered it took most of them a year or so and I read it in under 4 Months. That time I was doing my last year in college and had many exams.

It was last winter. I live in Ukraine, and due to the war, the government turns off the lights every 3 hours, leaving them off for 2 hours each time, every day. This situation has given me a lot of time to read books. I read ‘Metro 2033’ by Dmitry Glukhovsky, a 600-page book that took me 9 days to complete. It was a fantastic experience, and I love this book so much. As soon as I finished ‘Metro 2033,’ I bought the next book, ‘Metro 2034,’ and read it in just over a week.

Because the missiles damaged the electrical infrastructure (local power plants) and there was not enough energy for the whole country, so when some people turned on the light, some turned it off.
