Well I was just pondering when I thought how fast do people read books. I read the cradle series last month in under 13 days. Constantly binge reading it. I have alot of time so it didn’t seem a big deal. Then I remembered in 2019 when I first picked up WoT I followed many people who were reading for the first time or reading it and I discovered it took most of them a year or so and I read it in under 4 Months. That time I was doing my last year in college and had many exams.
Do rereads count? I finished the entire HP series in 7 days a couple of months ago.
After my cat died I wanted a comfort read. Returning to Hogwarts always brings me joy and dealing with the death of the characters in the books actually helped me deal with my cats death. It was the happiest I’ve been in months.
I also read the Oathbringer by Sanderson in 2 days. Really 1 and a half day, 'cause I worked on Friday and by Saturday evening I had finished the whole book.
I think the most I ever read in a single day was around 1600 pages. But that was when I wasn’t working. The backpain was real.
