Obviously references to other comics are gonna be right out, so no Savage Dragon, Wolf Corps, Brit, etc. But what else do you think doesn’t make the cut, either because it hasn’t aged well or just no space for it?

Personally I can’t see them doing the Amber abuse plot. I don’t think audiences will want to see it and once she’s written off it’s easier to just keep her written off.

Likewise, I wonder how they will handle Eve’s weight gain. They wait it was done in the comics felt very fat-phobic and its one of the things that’s really aged poorly.

Finally, and this one might be controversial, I can see Invincible Inc getting axed. I works in the comics, where you cam get away with a bit more storyline whiplash, but I wonder if the tonal shift us going to feel too abrupt for normal viewers.

Thoughts? What do you think gets left behind and why?

The Amber thing was bad and I hope it doesn’t show up again.

The other thing I really pray they write around is Nolan and Debbie getting back together. It’s utterly horrendous in the comic and completely unbelievable. Kirkman barely even tried to sell Debbie forgiving Nolan let alone coming to trust him again. It’s gross and weird that she goes back to such an awful person after everything he did to her with barely any justification for it. It feels especially rushed because Debbie was happy in a new relationship and that basically ends offscreen in a single panel with no explanation. Just badly written, conceptually wrong and totally unnecessary all around.
