  • Eve can’t manipulate living things due to a mental block, I don’t think she is restricted from creating/rearranging organic matter.* Don’t we see her alter/create plant matter?

One weakness you missed, the toxin from that one flower, is just a chemical compound which is her whole thing. As someone with an innate understanding of chemistry, I don’t think her mental block would prevent her from creating matter as sharp as a Ragnar’s claws or as tough as their hide. I don’t see why she couldn’t create a synthetic form of the scourge virus (though I doubt she would ever do that one) or the flower toxin.

EDIT: *By which I mean, organic matter that isn’t currently living.

  • Yeah I remember him saying that and I know this sounds crazy but I disagree. Dude is an incredibly talented writer and my favourite quality of his is creativity. It’s what makes Invincible so good. He thought of all these cool weaknesses for Viltrumites but not a single one that Eve can exploit? Kind of a bummer

  • As a big time Nolan-disliker I’m consistently impressed with how much better he is in the show. The way he’s treated this episode gives me a lot of good will for the characters future adaptation.

Debbie also feels a lot better. Both of them are more well-rounded.

I don’t know who I expected Rhea Seehorn to be, but it was not Andressa. Such a treat to hear her in another one of my favourite shows. I hope she gets an elevated role so we can get more Rhea, though I doubt it

    Phenomenal episode overall

  • The Amber thing was bad and I hope it doesn’t show up again.

The other thing I really pray they write around is Nolan and Debbie getting back together. It’s utterly horrendous in the comic and completely unbelievable. Kirkman barely even tried to sell Debbie forgiving Nolan let alone coming to trust him again. It’s gross and weird that she goes back to such an awful person after everything he did to her with barely any justification for it. It feels especially rushed because Debbie was happy in a new relationship and that basically ends offscreen in a single panel with no explanation. Just badly written, conceptually wrong and totally unnecessary all around.
