I never hated her like a lot of people, it is pretty clear the writers heard the backlash and made very noticeable improvements to her relationship with Mark.

    The only problem with Amber in S1 is that they made it a little unclear what was bothering her and people thought she was mad at Mark for saving lives, so they had to whack the audience over the head with it this season.
