Jasmine handled him breaking the news that he quit his job so well. I could feel her heartbreak and worry over it. The fact that he later tried to spin it as her being upset because she wants a luxury life style when she very clearly stated her concerns were about bringing her children and sister to the US is just frustrating.
Like who tf quits their job when they know they need to provide for the fiance and kids they’re sponsoring to bring to the US.
Jasmine is just wow and I would exit that relationship in a heartbeat.
However, Gino is also just wow. No one in their right mind would quit a job when they are sponsoring another person and they are the only income. I don’t care how much you have saved that is downright dangerous and scary. I can understand why that would have anyone petrified.
I think he was either fired and is lying or he has something with TLC that will pay them.

I have friends who were in Escaping Polygamy. I have a long history with many of those members who left the Kingston Clan. Shit really is so scripted. There’s a scene with one friend where he’s by his semi truck asking another person to help his mom escape. But she had already been loooooong gone by that point. What I will say though is that no matter how entertaining, it doesn’t begin to capture the absurdity of that cult. And the dark shit that goes on and the trauma that others suffer
Totally think he was fired. No one providing for their spouse and planning a wedding would quit.
Probs just a tlc story line there has to be some “secret” to cause tension ok her arrival. “I have a secret I’ve not told her yet” audience “gasp when will he tell her , how will she react!?”
Idk… I don’t think anything has to be “made up” when it comes to drama and Jasmine she’s like a walking soap opera lol … I think Gino knowingly quit so he could feel like he had some control in the sitch. It’s very clear between Jas and G who has the bigger 🍆 (and it’s not Gino). She (according to him so I take it with a grain of salt) tells him what to eat, do, wear ect everything and he wanted to leverage a little control before she arrives and completely takes over everything. The only real part he has over her at this point is financially speaking so he dug his heels down, double downed and uno reversed her crazy self.
I agree with all that Jasmine is full of drama on their own, however a lot of the narrative are pushed by tlc. Like the reality is Jasmine probs just shows up and they fight over all kind of nonsense. However on the show there’s always some secret to be revealed always a “I have a secret I’ve not told him/her. I think i dunno send a boy of a coincidence he happened to lose his job he’s had years just as she arrives ? Seems a lot more likely he arranged time off
